How We Process Your Form Submissions
The forms on the Website run on the Lexomatic platform, a legal document and client management platform that a separate company operates as our service provider. What you enter is stored in our firm's account on that platform and used only to prepare what you requested and to communicate with you. We deliver documents and analyses to the email address you provide through a cloud email service. Our service providers act under our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small piece of data that a website sends to your browser, which stores it on your device. The Website sets two cookies, and both are necessary for it to work. One is a session cookie, and the other is a security cookie that protects forms against forgery. Neither is used for advertising or analytics, and neither is shared with anyone. Because the Website sets no optional cookies, it displays no cookie consent banner.
When you arrive at the Website from an advertisement or a search result, your browser may store a record of that visit in its local storage, not in a cookie. The record holds the identifiers that came with the link (for example, a Google Ads click identifier or campaign codes), the page you landed on, and the site that referred you. If you later submit a form, we attach the record to your submission so that we know which advertisement or search brought you to us. The Website does not share the record with advertising networks and does not use it to track you on other sites.
Children's Privacy
The Website is intended for a general audience and does not offer services to children. If a child we know to be under 18 sends us personal information, we use that information only to tell the child that a child cannot use the Website.
Analytics Programs
The Website does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics or behavioral tracking service. If we add one, we will update this Privacy Policy before it is used and, where the service requires it, ask for your consent first.
Third-Party Websites
The Website may link to websites that other parties operate. We provide those links for your reference only. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their contents or their privacy practices. Read each website's privacy policy before you use it. A link does not mean that we endorse the website's material or are associated with its operator.
Do Not Track
Do Not Track is a browser preference that tells websites you do not want to be tracked. The Website does not respond to Do Not Track signals. You can turn the preference on or off in your browser's settings.
Your Privacy Rights Under State Law
We serve clients throughout the United States. If you live in a state whose privacy law gives you rights over your personal information, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Opt out of its sale, of its sharing for targeted advertising, and of profiling
Those states include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with your request and the email address you used on the Website. We will verify your identity by confirming that address and respond within the time your state's law allows. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep the information you submit for as long as we need it to provide what you requested, to keep the records that the rules governing lawyers require, and to comply with law. After that, we delete or anonymize it.
Questions
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, email [email protected].
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Website.
